2022 Virginia Annual Conference
Mission Opportunities
United in Worship; serving together
Mission Opportunities provided throughout the Annual Conference is an opportunity for the churches to maximize the impact, in transforming the world, through the connectional system. Each year, Virginia Conference offers Mission Opportunities for the 1,300 churches to ‘Unite as One in Worship’ as we serve our Lord together. Below you will find three ways to become a ‘blessing to this world’ (Gen 12:3).
#Being Together
A fun 5K Run/Walk during the Annual Conference. The wellbeing of our leaders determines the health of our mission! Join our effort to encourage our members to be on this journey together!
Virtual Option to participate in this race will be offered!
#Nurturing Together
When all 1,300 churches in VAUMC come ‘Nurturing Together’ we can make a significant impact! This year’s offering will be focused on nurturing Christian leaders in the world for God’s mission! Join us in this united effort!
#Collecting Together
AC Collection is one way to ‘Think Globally and Act Locally.’ We will continue our collection on a district level, and share the collections both worldwide and locally. UMCOR Kits will be delivered to Mission Central, while the cans will be shared on district level.
