A brief statement on your call to serve as a delegate:
Being a delegate to the 2024 General Conference for me is a calling to lean in to how the Holy Spirit is shaping the church of tomorrow, and to respond to the urgent need for the mission of the church (making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world) to be compelling to those not in the church.
Specific prayer request(s) for the work ahead:
I would pray for the ability to stay curious and listen deeply. I pray that all delegates enter this space not with a particular end in mind, but with a holy intention to discern where God is calling the whole of the United Methodist Church.
