See All the People
Romans 15:7 in NRSV
Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.

The 2020 session of the Virginia Annual Conference will be held June 18-20 at the Berglund Center, 710 Williamson Rd NE, Roanoke, VA 24016
Information will be shared on this page as it becomes available.

All attendees to Annual Conference this year will make their hotel reservations online. This change will allow participants to view more information and availability about each hotel in one place, eliminating the need for making multiple calls. This will save time and facilitate a smoother process. If you do not have easy access to the Internet or a computer, you are encouraged to contact your district office for assistance on how to make your online hotel reservation. Online Annual Conference housing registration will open Wednesday, February 26, 2020. An email with a link to the housing reservation site will be sent to you prior to that date.

Tellers needed
There is a need for more tellers at annual conference. If you are willing to serve as a teller, please contact your district office.

Submit nominations now for Harry Denman, One Matters awards
Is anyone in your congregation someone who goes above and beyond when it comes to discipleship?  Perhaps they are involved in youth or family ministry and have helped many people to have a relationship with God or they are involved in a local mission that has influenced lives for Christ. They can be clergy, laity and/or youth.  Each year the Board of Discipleship recognizes one person in each category who displays discipleship in their lives.  Nominations for Harry Denman Awards are due no later than midnight on March 2, 2020.
Are you a church that has experienced a positive turnaround in professions of faith and/or baptisms?  Has your church gone from zero Professions of Faith in the past to a positive number of Professions of Faith in 2019?  If so, you may be eligible for the One Matters Award. Applications are due no later than midnight on Mar. 2, 2020. Nominations forms may be sent to BeckyTate@vaumc.org.
