Rev. Jessie Colwell heard her call to ministry when she was a teenager on a mission trip. She went on to get a Psychology degree at Virginia Tech, graduated from Duke with a Master of Divinity, and is currently pursuing her doctorate at Wesley Theological Seminary. She is the author of “Blessed Wrestling: Biblical Reflections on Discerning God’s Call,” and co-authored the recently released book: “Creation’s Call.” Both books are available for purchase on Amazon.com. This year, Jessie started her fifth year as the Director of Clergy Excellence for the Virginia Conference of The United Methodist Church. She is married to Nelson and mom to Dean, who is 9.
