To PRG teams in Virginia Annual Conference,
As we continue to hear the ways Delta Variant is impacting our communities and people who are unvaccinated, especially children under 12, we ask each church’s PRG teams to continue to monitor the situation and review their Mitigation Assistance Plan (M.A.P).
As of August 11, most of the counties in Virginia are designated as ‘High Level of Community Transmission’ areas. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, and the response to the CDC guidelines provided by the Bishop, Cabinet, and PRG team on July 30, 2021, churches are encouraged to find ways to protect their members and the community.
Remember that our call is to love our neighbors and to do no harm. We have tools, such as vaccination, wearing masks indoors and maintaining proper distancing, to make this happen! Please use the tools, so we can be a solution to this problem we all are facing.
