Register for Childcare
Annual Conference 2026 Child Care registration is now live! Child care will be available Wednesday, June 17 through Friday, June 19 for any children between the ages of six (6) weeks and rising 5th grade. Child care will be hosted at Asbury UMC in Harrisonburg, VA and is provided by A Helping Hand Child Care-a comprehensive event child care service.
Parents/Caregivers registering three (3) or more children (of the same family) will receive a discounted registration fee that is automatically applied to your check-out.

VAUMC used A Helping Hand for the last Annual Conference session to provide parents with peace of mind for their children’s well-being while attending the conference. A few highlights of the service:
- Safety: Their secure check in and check out procedures consist of children’s Name Bracelets, Parental ID checks, and Allergy Wrist Bands.
- Their Management Team consists of highly trained, experienced, and qualified individuals who are background screened and infant and child CPR and First Aid Certified.
- Parents can enjoy their event with peace of mind knowing that their children are safe and secure in the care of A Helping Hand.
- Their Managers and Helpers are assigned daily duties to help ensure the well-being of the children throughout the event. These duties include: Room Leader, Bathroom Helper, Door Helper, and Infant Room Leader.
- Parents’ receive “Daily Log Reports” highlighting each child’s daily activities including bathroom breaks, naps, meals, and playtime.

We look forward to being together again for worship, business, and fellowship at the 2026 Virginia Annual Conference at Atlantic Union Bank Center at James Madison University (JMU) in Harrisonburg, Va. from June 17-20, 2026.
Since this is our first time at this venue, expect future communications (print and video) to help acclimate you to the space including resources about accessibility, parking, and more.
