The Latino Clergy Caucus leadership is officially passing the baton to a new group of leaders who are excited and passionate to continue the work in favor of our Latino congregations.
The Rev. Marcela Jarman, the Rev. David Jiménez-Cárdenas and the Rev. Chad Beck have officially accepted their new positions. The Rev. Callie Walker will continue to assist as the treasurer.
The Latino Clergy Caucus will continue to advocate and be a strong voice for the Latino ministries across the Virginia Conference. They are committed to offer advocacy, education, mentoring, and financial support to Latino Pastors and Laity according to their needs.
An updated database of all the Latino ministries, an updated webpage, and more visibility at the Conference level are some of the goals to achieve.
They will also offer at least two opportunities to worship together in Spanish every year and assist to develop pastors and laity gifts in worship and preaching.
