The Virginia Conference had the honor to host a group of bishops from the Korean Methodist Church on Nov. 9. President Bishop Chul Lee (president bishop of the Korean Methodist Church) Bishop Chungsuk Kim (bishop of South Seoul Annual Conference and senior pastor of Kwanglim Methodist, largest Methodist church in the world), Bishop Yong Jai Jun (former president bishop of Korean Methodist), and General Secretary Yongyoon Lee met with Bishop Sharma D. Lewis and representatives of the Virginia Conference. The commitment was made to partner in God’s mission through future opportunities in the Southeast Asia region. The group also shared ministry experiences at Pinnacle Living and the Virginia United Methodist Foundation, which is in a developmental stage in Korea. In God’s mission, the Virginia Conference will continue to partner as a sister denomination and companion of this call!
