Middleburg United Methodist Church, located in the heart of historic Middleburg, Virginia seeks a Minister of Music. This is a part time position that requires playing a digital organ and a very fine early 20th century completely restored Steinway concert grand piano for the 11:30 AM service each Sunday, coordinating with the pastor for the selection of hymns, selecting an anthem for a small choir to perform during the service, scheduling and conducting a choir rehearsal. Special services such as Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, several Special Music Sundays and Good Friday may also be required. There are also opportunities to play for weddings and funerals for which the compensation shall be determined by the Minister of Music. In addition there is the opportunity to earn extra compensation by playing a piano at a 10:00 AM Sunday service for our sister church, Rectortown United Methodist Church in Rectortown, Virginia .
