Virginia United Methodist Pensions, Inc. is seeking an energetic, results oriented individual to become a full time member of our team. Virginia United Methodist Pensions, Inc. (“VUMPI”) is the agency of the Virginia Conference of The United Methodist Church that administers employee benefit programs for clergy and lay employees of the Conference’s churches and agencies. The Benefits Administrator is responsible for leading the administration of a range of clergy benefit programs, to include the following:
• Manage pension and related benefit programs, including denominational pension and retirement savings programs, life and disability insurance programs
• Manage billing protocols for pension, life and disability insurance programs
• Ensure the accurate and timely recording of clergy appointment data in Virginia Conference and denominational databases
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all clergy enrolled in relevant benefit programs
Preferred Qualifications:
• At least three years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, benefits administration or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to effectively communicate sensitive information at all levels
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Proficiency with the use of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation technology
• Familiarity with denominational and Virginia Conference structures and policies highly desired
