Mrs. Jayne H. Paschall was the surviving spouse of Rev. Hugh C. Paschall.

Jayne Lucile Paschall, born April 3,1921, in Ellerson, VA, went to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, at the age of 105.

Mrs. Paschall graduated from Battlefield Park High School in Mechanicsville, VA. In 1938, she was crowned Queen of the May.

She was a strong-willed, quick-witted, sharp and determined lady who loved travel, camping, bridge, crossword puzzles, cruises, and reading the Bible.

During World War II, she worked as a riveter in San Diego, CA,supporting our military war efforts. She moved to Texas and then returned to Virginia in 1949. She worked for Reynolds Metals in Richmond, Chatham Elementary and Potomac Temporaries in Northern Virginia.

Reverend and Mrs. Hugh Paschall served multiple Methodist churches in Virginia for over 35 years.

Mrs. Paschall was preceded in death by her husbands, Rev. Hugh C. Paschall and Roy T. Harris, Jr.; her eldest daughter, Jayne Roy (Harris) Caudle; her parents, Joseph Martin and Goldie Loving; and her siblings, Katherine Barnette-Carneal, Edith Lipscomb, Fay Alexander, Marie (Tate) Vunck and Joseph A. Martin.

Surviving are her daughter, Gloria E. (Paschall) Runyon, and son-in-law Rex A. Runyon; six grandchildren: Heidi (Gray) Slagel, Weslie Runyon, Gary-Leigh Caudle, Lauren K. Caudle, Shane Runyon and Ryan Runyon; great grandson Tristan Slagel, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sancerre Atlee Station and her caregivers for their compassionate caregiving.

Visitation was held at Woody Funeral Home-Atlee Chapel on April 15, 2026 followed by a funeral service at the same location.
