Youth Mission Encounter, Shenandoah University

The Virginia Conference Serving Office is offering four locations for a winter Youth Mission Encounter Event on the theme Community in the Midst of Challenging Times. A time to learn and share will be held at the following:

• Feb 4 – Occohannock on the Bay (led by the Rev. Drew Ensz) registration deadline Jan 25
• March 4 – Shenandoah University (led by the Rev. DeLyn Celec) registration deadline Feb 15

Youth leaders can register your group of middle and high school students at this link ( https://na.eventscloud.com/ereg/index.php?eventid=725282&).  Each group attending must have their own adult chaperones who are Safe Sanctuary trained and background checked by their local church.  Events will be from 10 am until 4 pm with lunch and snacks provided.   Cost is $25/person.  The curriculum comes from the national United Women in Faith’s Mission U and each church that attends will receive a copy of the book to take back to your local church for further exploration of the topic.  The gathering will also include time for games, worship, and other activities.
