|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until February 26, 2025

NEW LEARNING OPPORTUNITY STARTS SOON

You can be part of a 2025 United Methodist learning project. The five-week study is called RADICLE METHODISM: GETTING TO THE ROOT OF US. (“Radicle” refers to the part of a plant embryo that develops into the primary root.)

Individuals and groups across the UMC are participating in this study. Study materials and videos are free. You can do the study on your on time, or make your own small group. All area United Methodists are invited to attend a Radicle Methodism small group on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. at South Roanoke UMC, 2330 S. Jefferson St. The course runs Jan. 29 through Feb. 26. (An optional indoor walking group meets in the gym from 1:30 to 2.)

Registration is not required, but you can get an e-copy of the guidebooks in advance. Just contact SRUMC at 540-344-4437 or [email protected]. Or you can access all of the materials free of charge at this link:

Together we will journey through nearly 300 years of growth and change, and we will prayerfully apply these learnings to our lives and to our church.
