This 2-part, 10-contact hour Advanced Lay Servant course is open to everyone, clergy, and laity. The course counts for Lay Servant recertification and it is also one of the six courses required for the Lay Speaker track. It is an excellent course for anyone who participates in worship service(s). Scheduled for two Saturday sessions, you will join your instructor and fellow learners on your continued journey of discovery and growth.
The Lay Servant Ministries Catalog says this about the course: “Prayer is something we learn; it is something that can be taught. For many, however, the only teaching about prayer they ever receive is modeled in Sunday worship. This course may challenge some of your assumptions, test some of your preconceived ideas, stretch your thinking, and enrich your prayer life. It will, at the very least, present you with an opportunity to grow in the discipline of leading public prayer.”
To receive a certificate of completion, each learner must attend both Zoom sessions. Participants will receive the Zoom information from the instructor before the first session.
