Awakening Hearts: Bridges to the World and Back
Those of us in the diaconate are few and far between and it’s not easy to be a bridge between the church and the world. How do we awaken to the “indwelling Divine Guest” who calls us to beckon to both church and world from the liminal place of the heart?
Spend some time with Spiritual Director, Joy Crawford, as we renew our spiritual hearts within the fellowship of the diaconate by listening, wondering, and reflecting together on the movement of Love in our midst.
Joy holds Master’s degrees in Christian Education and Theology and a certificate in Spiritual Guidance from the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation. She is on staff at Welborne UMC and Shalem.
The registration fee of $15.00 includes lunch. Your confirmation email will include a registration number, allowing you to return to this site to update your preferences. Please save your confirmation email, or print the registration page, for your records. This event is open to deacon candidates, provisional members, ordained and retired deacons, as well as those discerning a call to become a deacon.
