Adverse Childhood Experiences Training, Embrace — A Center for Community, 932 Fir Street, Waynesboro. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 9 am-Noon. When children experience traumatic events, it can have lasting effects on their mental health and wellbeing — even into adulthood. These events are called ACEs. Understanding ACEs is critical to our call to offer hope, help, and healing that does no harm. This important training helps raise awareness and provide resources for clergy and laity in an effort to reduce ACEs, foster resilience, and improve the overall health of our neighbors and community. VAUMC clergy will be eligible to receive .5 CEUs through the Office of Clergy Excellence.
