Life at the university, it means God must be felt by individuals. I’m Reverend Eunice Marima, who is the senior chaplain at the University of Zimbabwe, where I provide spiritual services, counselling, I visit people, students and staff. So, during my experience, some people would come to my office.

So, one day, a lady came to my office, and this lady was crying. And why she was crying, I didn’t know at first. Then later on, when we were talking, she talked about her children who were not listening to her, who didn’t want to go to school, who didn’t want to go to church.

So, we had time, and later on, I supported her, and as a result, the children were now going to school. And she had a smile on her face, on a daily basis. And the children really appreciated it, because peer pressure contributed to their life, by not wanting to go to school.

Now, she’s happy, the family is happy, as well as the community is happy. It means a theological training did help the situation. As far as I’m concerned, I would like to thank the United Methodist, which trained me to be a pastor, to be a theologian, so that I could support and assist and work together with the community.

Because this happens in life, where people face some challenges. The only person whom they have to trust in is a pastor. So, I’m appealing to all of us to make sure that we have more pastors trained in theology, so that we help people in their lives for the Kingdom of God.

So, I’m appealing, I’m thankful for this program, which is there to support theological training for the benefit of the Kingdom of God, where God’s creation is.
