Just Energy for All is the United Women in Faith’s campaign to work for climate justice and mobilize members and communities to advocate for cleaner and 100% renewable energy that is just for people and creation. Ecclesiastes 1: 4-7 reminds us of the abundance of such gifts: the sun, wind, streams – all capable of giving us renewable energy to sustain our life on earth. Join our effort to end the climate crisis! uwfaith.org/climate-justice

We, United Women in Faith, are Easter people who are committed to working toward the resurrection future we know is possible and helping others see that resurrection vision for creation. Our April program, Seeds of Hope pages 34-40 in our program resource, Mapping Our Way Forward by Hannah Kardon, leads us to focus on what could go right instead of what could go wrong and practicing gratitude for the seeds of the kin-dom that are here, right now.

As United Women in Faith, we learn, relearn and prioritize the practices that honor and love God’s whole work in the Creation. From our Sustainability Study, we relearn that God calls us to “choose life.” God says to the people, whether in the Hebrew Bible or the New Testament: Choose love. Choose care. Choose those things that make for life by loving God and loving your neighbor.

“I call heaven and earth to witness against you today; that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live.” Deuteronomy 30:19

In the New Testament, Jesus teaches us about love, caring and life by telling stories about rivers, flowers, birds, bread, women, wells, children and natural beings around him. As believers, we are to be working with God in the healing of what is broken and live to defy injustices around us.
