Applications for the 2025 Virginia Annual Conference Green Church and Sustaining Green Church Awards are now open and are due by March 15, 2024.
The VAUMC Creation Justice Work Group is eager to recognize your church’s efforts to live more justly with each other and all of God’s Creation through the Green Church Award and Sustaining Green Church Awards. These awards are a significant opportunity for us to acknowledge congregations that have made a covenant for Creation Justice and are living it out in their church life and ministry. We are excited to accept nominations and honor those congregations that have signed or are considering signing the VAUMC Green Church Initiative. We will also recognize churches with Earth Ministry-Green Team programs such as Cool Congregations, Power of Faith, or others that align with the goals of the Green Church Initiative.
