VAUMC shares local church status following last Special Called Annual Conference related to disaffiliation, Paragraph 2553
The Virginia Annual Conference held four Special Called sessions from 2022 to 2023 for churches who followed the disaffiliation process outlined in Paragraph 2553 from the Book of Discipline to be considered for ratification by the Annual Conference body. New Series Focuses on UMC Future
The first episode of Bishop Sue Haupert-Johnson’s new web series “Strength for Today. A Bright Hope For Tomorrow // God’s vision for the next chapter of the United Methodist Church” is out now. This is a video and podcast series where Bishop Sue talks about various topics with leaders from around the UMC and will be available every Sunday until Advent. Please join us in prayer for the people of #Libya impacted by severe flooding. More than 2,000 people are feared dead as whole neighborhoods were swept into the sea by flash floods.
Pray also for the safety of first responders and medical personnel working on the front lines of this crisis.
