With hearts filled with sorrow and gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Jeffery T. White. A beloved pastor, devoted husband, loving father, and cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend. Jeffery touched many lives through his faith, service, and love for others. His presence brought comfort to those he served, and his devotion to his family and community will remain a lasting part of his legacy.
Early Life Education and Military Service
Jeffery was born in Newark, New Jersey, to Robert and Barbara White. He attended schools in Roanoke, Virginia, and graduated from William Fleming High School. He proudly served seven years in the United States Army, demonstrating a commitment to service that continued throughout his life.
His dedication to learning led him to Central Texas College, where he earned an associate degree. He went on to earn his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from Jacksonville Theological Seminary before reaching the highest level of his education at Duke University’s, School of Theology.
A Life of Faith and Ministry
Jeffery’s faith journey began at The Glorious Church of God in Christ. He later founded and pastored Increasing Faith Outreach Ministries and served as an associate pastor at Rehoboth United Methodist Church and Oyler’s United Methodist Church. He also pastored Burnt Chimney, Mount Olivet, Epworth, and Halesford United Methodist Churches. Through preaching, counseling, visiting the sick, and serving his community, Jeffery devoted his life to ministry and caring for others. His faith was reflected in the compassion he offered and the time he gave to those in need. Inspired by his father, Robert White, he carried forward an example of community service and dedication to others.
A Devoted Husband and Loving Father
Jeffery’s love for his family was a cherished part of his life. He will be remembered for his warm smile and the thoughtfulness and care he brought to everything he did. He treasured capturing precious moments with his wife, children, and family, preserving memories that will continue to bring comfort to those who loved him.
For 31 years, Jennifer was his devoted wife and companion. Her unwavering love, compassion, strength, and sacrifice were a testament to her devotion. The love they shared and the life they built together will forever remain a cherished part of Jeffery’s story.
Those Who Preceded Him in Death
