Mrs. Patricia Wright was the surviving spouse of the Rev. Dr. Wasena F. Wright, Jr.

Patricia Wright, a beacon of love and unwavering faith, was called home on August 24, 2026. Born to the late Blenkey Willis and  Ola Erma Thompson Greer in Roanoke, Virginia, on September 2, 1941, Patricia’s life was a testament to the enduring power of love, devotion, and steadfast commitment to her family and faith.

A dedicated homemaker, her artistic spirit shone brightly in her stained glass creations, each piece a vibrant testament to her creativity and passion. Patricia’s love for travel took her and her beloved late husband, The Rev. Dr. Wasena F. Wright, Jr., to many beautiful places, yet it was their shared journey in faith and love that was the most profound adventure of all.  As travel agents, she and her husband led many tours to the Holy Land and The Passion Play, as well as multiple trips to support Native Americans.

She is survived by her daughter, Dawne Wright Beasley; son, Stephen Dwayne Wright; brother, David Willis Greer; grandchildren, Matthew Stuart Vronek, Christopher Stephen Wright, Rachel Vronek Owens, and Emily Wright Thomsen; and great-grandchildren, Timothy David Owens, Isaac Jason Vronek, and Iris Wasena Owens.

Patricia will be laid to rest beside her husband in Annandale United Methodist Church Cemetery where Dr. Wright pastored for many years. The graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Annandale United Methodist Church, 6935 Columbia Pike, Annandale, Virginia, 22003.
