To ensure that the annual conference has a full opportunity to submit resolutions for consideration at the 2026 session of the Virginia Annual Conference, the deadline for submission of resolutions is being extended to February 28, 2026.
Submissions may come from (1) an annual conference board or agency, (2) a group of at least 10 clergy or elected lay members of the annual conference, or (3) a lay person who is a member of a local church within the conference, with the endorsement of the local church’s church council or administrative board or equivalent governing body at a duly-called meeting.
The co-chairs of the Resolutions Committee are willing to meet with potential authors in 15-minute increments to provide assistance and answer questions about resolutions. We have two time blocks available on Wednesday, February 11. They are 1:00 – 3:00 PM and 5:00 – 6:00 PM.
