Journey to the Cross, Franktown UMC, 7551 Bayside Rd., Franktown, VA 23354. April 7, open from 1:00-6:30. This Good Friday, come take a prayerful and reflective walk-through Christ’s last hours. A self-guided walk through a series of artistic installations will provide multi-sensory experiences and guided reflections suitable for adults and children. These interpretations invite us to join Jesus in the Upper Room and follow through the Garden of Gethsemane, betrayal, arrest, condemnation, scourging, crucifixion, and entombment.
Start your Journey at the check-in station, where you will pick up a Journey Guide that directs you through the indoor and outdoor stations. Go at your own pace, asking God to speak to you through the solemn remembering of this series of events. There is a special Journey Guide and descriptions for children.
Journey to the Cross will be open from 1:00-6:30 p.m. on Good Friday, April 7, rain or shine, and is wheelchair accessible. To volunteer, or for any questions, contact the church office, (757) 442-3481. Information posted on Facebook and www.franktownunitedmethodist.org
