Black Methodists for Church Renewal, Inc., – VA Conference (BMCR) and Strengthening the Black Church for the 21st Century (SBC21) are partners in Conference efforts to provide resources for our African American churches.

Strengthening the Black Church

Strengthening the Black Church for the 21st Century (SBC-21) is a program designed to help United Methodist churches with predominantly black congregations become effective in mission and ministry. It does this by linking successful congregational resource centers with congregations that are in search of new ideas and revitalization.
