How to Complete Addendums for Provisional Members
Addendums: Refer to spreadsheet to see people in your District and which addendums to use for each.
Provisional Year 1:
Provisional Elder Serving in a Local Church: Addendums A & C
– DS will make onsite or online visit to observe worship leadership
– DS will meet with the provisional as a follow up to the onsite visit in person or via zoom to assess the areas of pastoral care and visitation.
Provisional Elder Serving in an Extension Ministry: Addendums A & D
– DS will make onsite or online visit to observe worship leadership
– DS will meet with the provisional as a follow up to the onsite visit in person or via zoom to assess the areas of vocational identity and effectiveness in ministry.
Provisional Deacons: Addendums B & D– DS will make onsite or online visit to observe the area of proclamation of the word.
– DS will meet with the provisional as a follow up to the onsite visit in person or via zoom to assess the areas of vocational identity and effectiveness in ministry.
Provisional Year 2:
For Provisional Deacons and Elders: Addendum E
– DS will meet with the provisional in person or via zoom to assess the area of leadership.
Provisional Year 3 and Beyond the 3rd Year:
For Provisional Deacons and Elders Applying for Ordination and for Those not Applying Beyond the 3rd Year: Addendum G
– DS will meet with the provisional in person or via zoom to assess overall effectiveness in ministry.
