October 24, 2021, 6 p.m., via Zoom
In preparation for All Saints Day, all clergy and laity of the Virginia Conference are invited to this service of healing. We will sing together, hear the Scripture, grieve together as we light candles for the saints we have loved and lost, and boldly claim the promise of the Resurrection through Jesus Christ our Lord. This service is virtual (via Zoom) and you are invited to bring candles to light for all the saints that you would like to remember this year. The Rev. Dana Trent, author of Dessert First: Preparing for Death While Savoring Life will be our preacher and will stay on after the service for a time of encouragement and visioning about best practices to offer pastoral care during this season.
We will also be using the liturgy at the link below during this service, which we also offer to pastors to use in their churches this year, so we can all experience God’s grace in the midst of grief together.
