Messiah UMC in Chesapeake, VA is looking for a worship leader. The Worship Leader’s primary responsibility is leading the Praise Team. They will coordinate with the Pastor to select music for worship services. The candidate must have a good knowledge of the functions of music in the church and be experienced in traditional as well as contemporary praise music. They must be energetic, passionate, and able to connect with the congregation. While this is a salaried position, it is anticipated this role requires approximately 6-8 hours per week.
