Shady Grove United Methodist Church (Mechanicsville), near Richmond, Virginia, is offering a part-time Organist/Accompanist opportunity to support the Minister of Music in providing music leadership. This person will provide organ and piano music throughout traditional worship services as well as for weddings and funerals when available. Additionally, this person will accompany the Chancel Choir in weekly rehearsals(Wednesday evenings) and worship service (Sunday mornings between 8-12:30), including preparation for special performances and concerts. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability on the organ and piano for leading congregational singing and accompanying choirs. Strong organization and collaboration skills are necessary.
