Farmville United Methodist Church is seeking an individual with a strong faith, and passion for working with children, to serve as the Director of Children’s Education and Ministry. The goal of this position is to equip children to be fruitful disciples of Jesus Christ through prayer, study and Christian mission.  The Director will be responsible for a comprehensive program of education for children, to invite and to nurture their Christian Faith and to help them live out our charge to Worship, Connect and Serve. Strong organizational and human relations skills are required.

The Director will be charged with leading our church’s Christian education programs for children, including researching and recommending materials for curriculum; teaching children’s Sunday school; leading children’s church during the worship hour, developing and training volunteers to help with Sunday school and small group activities; directing special events for children throughout the year, and seeking ways to involve them in worship.
