Children’s Ministry Coordinator

Powhatan UMC is seeking a dynamic Christian to lead our Children’s Ministry program (ages birth-5th grade) and to shepherd their spiritual development through structured activities.  Immediate opportunity to demonstrate creativity and leadership in managing our Vacation Bible School this summer with 100+ capacity.  Weekly responsibility for coordinating the following: “Time with Young Disciples” during Sunday Worship; Bible Learning and Spiritual Training (BLAST); Kids With Purpose (KWP); Celebration Events.  Develop and maintain a group of parents and volunteers to assist with the above responsibilities.  Preferred candidate will have prior demonstrated experience teaching/guiding young children; commitment to sharing their faith with others, especially children; organizational skills; ability to develop teams; ability to manage a budget.
