Children’s Choir Director

Shady Grove United Methodist Church (Mechanicsville), near Richmond, Virginia, is offering a part-time Children’s Choir Director role who will lead children four years-old through fifth grade, organized into two choirs.   The role is from September through May with weekly rehearsals on Sunday afternoons. Performances include involvement in approximately 6 Sunday morning worship services per year, a Christmas concert, Christmas Eve and a Spring production.  Performances can include both singing and use of Orff instruments.  The successful candidate will have training in elementary music education and a background working with children.  The role is approximately 5 hours per week with an annual salary of $4,800.  Please contact Kevin Berry at [email protected] for inquiries.
