Accompanist

Northview United Methodist Church in Roanoke, Virginia, is seeking a part-time accompanist.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Work and coordinate with the Music Director on all music
• Be prepared to accompany all rehearsals, services, and special occasions
• Be prepared to lead the worship service if the music director is absent
• Contact the music director if you will be absent for rehearsals or service(s)
• Participate with the bell choir
• Help with the children and youth’s musical programs when needed

The salary is $8,000 annually. Three weeks paid Personal leave (includes sickness) is provided. You must be present for all Easter services (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and any other special Easter event) and Christmas services (Christmas Eve service, Christmas Day service, and any other special Christmas event).
A criminal background check, paid for by the church, is required of any employees working with children.
There is a ninety day probation period after which a review will be conducted by the Staff Parish Relations Committee and the Lay Leader.
