Small Church Gathering

Small Church Gathering: November 2, 2024 at Virginia Beach UMC

This is an unique event designed to resource small churches in their significant areas of ministry. Church Teams will choose from one of four tracks for a two-session deep dive. Each track will offer experiential resourcing specifically for small churches. The Team will not only walk away with l earnings, but also a Ministry Action Plan (MAP) with practical next steps to launch their learnings into action with a Kingdom impact when they return to their local church. 

Your team of 5 can Choose from one of these Four Track Options:

• The Small Church Worship Advantage: Practices that Work Best in Small Settings led by Teresa Stewart, author of The Small Church Advantage
• Simplifying Ministries in the Small Church led by Kay Kotan, author of Mission: Possible, coach, consultant
• An Effective Approach to Cooperative Parishes led by Rev. Dr. Jason Stanley, author, coach, 
• Transformation is Not Optional: Discipleship for the Small Church, led by Rev. Charity Goodwin, Pastor of Spiritual Formation & Groups at The Gathering UMC (St. Louis, Mo.)

In addition to these learning tracks, there will be multiple Lunch & Learn workshops featuring leadership from the Virginia Conference.

Church Teams will have the option of becoming part of an on-going Cohort with their Track Leader after the Small Church Gathering for an additional fee. The purpose of the Cohort is to reinforce learning, action, accountability, and momentum along with deeper learning and contextualization.

Registration includes: Track Participation, Lunch, Book, Lunch & Learn Workshop, & Hospitality

$499 per Team (up to 5 people) + $99 per person for additional team members 

(up to 12 total team members) for same track attendance

$129 for single participants
