Welcome to the VAUMC 5K Run/walk (#Being Together)
VAUMC 5K Run/Walk (#Being Together) will be held during the Annual Conference of the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church. #BeingTogther is planned as both an in-person race for participants who will come to Hampton, VA, and a virtual race for anyone willing to join where there are.
#BeingTogether encourages members to be intentional in their well-being by attending to their spiritual, emotional, and physical health.
All proceeds of this event will be donated to #NurturingTogether, an Annual Conference offering that supports leadership development across the world.
Wesley Theological Seminary’s Doctor of Ministries in Military Chaplaincy scholarship program will be our first recipient, where they train Military Chaplains deployed all over the world to nurture and care for the spiritual needs of our soldiers. Also, Partnerships of Hope, the overseas mission of the Virginia Annual Conference, will be another recipient. The project we are connected with the soon-to-be six partners (Brazil, Cambodia, Mozambique, Native Americans, Haiti, and Vietnam) all have programs that nurture leadership development projects in their area.
