The Great Pumpkin Patch at Ginter Park UMC Begins September 29th!
It’s our 14th season! The Big Truck arrives on Sunday, the 29th, at noon. Once they are all on their pallets, the big fun in October begins!
– Every Friday we have Storytime Fridays @4, with Firefighters from Richmond’s Station 16 coming over in one of their trucks, to read stories to the kids after school among the pumpkins. We have a variety of Fall themed books, snacks and juice boxes for everyone!
– October 3: Stewardship Day! 9am to 11:30. Pumpkin & other volunteers will meet up at Belle’s Island to help Richmond Tree Stewards remove invasive plants & replace them with natives! This is something the Tree Stewards are doing every Thursday; we picked October 3rd because the kids are out of school!
– October 5: Harvest Market, 10am – 1pm. Shopping in the pumpkin patch with artists, crafters, small businesses; visit the non-profit booths to find out what you can do to help, and meet some of the local candidates for a grassroots chat!
– October 12: Fun & Games Day, 10am to 4pm. Bounce house, corn hole and all sorts of fun for the whole family!
– October 26: 6:30pm, Campfire, Chili & Movie Night! Enjoy a free bowl of chili, singing and making s’mores around the campfire, and a family friendly movie, too!
– October 27: Sunday morning Breakfast @9! Kicking off our free monthly breakfast, 9am in the Social Hall. Everyone is welcome!
– October 31: 6pm, Trick or Treat Bash & Coat Give-Away! We collect clean coats, with all their working parts, for weeks before the event, and will give them away to whoever needs them on Halloween Night!
Our address is 1010 W. Laburnum Ave, in Richmond, and the Pumpkin Patch is on the corner of Laburnum & Seminary, on the west side of the church building. Stop by this October and check us out!
