DISTRICT POSITIONS

Director of Congregational Excellence: The Staunton District Committee on Superintendency is seeking a Director of Congregational Excellence. This full time position will provide ministry resourcing and support for the local churches of the Staunton District. The Director will: staff and resource the District Council on Ministries; develop, plan and implement training for laity and clergy in multiple ministry areas; serve as a liaison between Staunton District, Virginia Conference, and denominational ministries; and plan and implement ministries/programs that will enhance and develop district congregations in the five areas of Vital Congregations. Work is performed under the supervision of the District Superintendent with considerable latitude for independent judgment, personal initiative and action.
