New Faith Communities

The Virginia Annual Conference takes the planting of new faith communities seriously as one way of living out the Great Commission. We have an ambitious plan to begin 250 new faith communities in the next 30 years.

Since Annual Conference approved All Things New in 2008, we have planted the following new faith communities:

* Journey UMC, Farmville District

* Worship and Praise, Richmond District
The result of merger between Aldersgate UMC of the Ashland District, and Worship and Praise, a former nondenominational congregation.
