Virginia Legislature honors Bishop Kammerer with framed resolution
Virginia House of Delegates member Peter Farrell (R-Henrico) presented Bishop Charlene P. Kammerer with a copy of a joint House and Senate resolution praising her ministry as bishop of the Virginia Conference, June 7.
The resolution was approved Feb. 10 by the State House and Feb. 16 by the State Senate. Del. Farrell, along with Delegates Riley Ingram, Manoli Loupassi, Jimmie Massie, Deloris O’Quinn, Joe Morrissey and John O’Bannon, and Senators Donald McEachin and Walter Stosch, were the patrons of the legislation.

The resolution notes Bishop Kammerer's eight years of service in Virginia, and also her long career of ministry. It commends Bishop Kammerer for her “exceptional devotion to The United Methodist Church in Virginia” and offers “the General Assembly’s respect for her service and best wishes in her future endeavors.”
The bishop accepted the honor “on behalf of all the United Methodists in Virginia.”
