The Virginia Conference Clergy Family Enrichment Committee of the Board of Ordained Ministry is composed of clergy spouses (both lay and clergy) and a member of the Board of Ordained Ministry who are committed to providing support to clergy families and clergy spouses. The Committee addresses the issues that impact the lives of the clergy in the Virginia Annual Conference and their families by offering support, care, and understanding. This is done in many ways:

1. The Thrival Kit, a journal of inspiration and guidance, seeks to provide a road map, offering direction for the clergy families of Virginia.
2. The Welcome Dinner, at annual conference, celebrates the beginning of ministry for those who are accepting their first appointment in the Virginia Conference.
3. The Annual Spouses’ Luncheon, at annual conference, is a time of fellowship for all clergy spouses.
4. The Annual Spouses’ Retreat, usually the first Friday/Saturday of March, is a time of inspiration and renewal for clergy spouses.

In providing these events and resources, the Clergy Family Enrichment Committee is striving to foster a climate of caring for each other among our clergy families as we share this journey of faithfulness and are inspired by God’s call on our lives.
