Youths and young adults are essential to the life and health of our United Methodist churches for they hold a spirit that’s vibrant and vital to every ministry in the church.
• Youths and young adults can be dynamic and diligent in approaching ministry tasks.
• Youths and young adults can be fearless and forthright in mission.
• Youths and young adults can be outstanding leaders who are open and optimistic to God’s leading and guidance.
• Youths and young adults can be relentless and restrained while possessing great resolve.
When the characters of youths and young adults are directed, supported and grounded in the faith, they have the ability to change the world. Therefore, Ministries with Young People is essential to the life and breath of this conference.
When youths and young adults come to understand who they are in God and truly grasp the concept of servant leadership, they become the church’s best chance of other people seeing The United Methodist Church as approachable, caring, loving, and welcoming.
It is the goal of Ministries with Young People to offer leadership and support to these wonderful young men and women across the Virginia Conference; thus helping them to become all that God has purposed for them to become in Christ's name.
