Artistic Director of The Central Virginia Masterworks Chorale (CVAMC) CVAMC is an Ashland-based SATB chorale averaging 40 central Virginia volunteer singers. The successful candidate will direct this quality-minded chorale in continuing to learn musical masterworks, as well as sacred and secular anthems/songs, and perform twice a year in public concerts, as well as direct occasional brief local performances (e.g., Ashland Strawberry Faire, Ashland Variety Show). Traditionally, at least one of the CVAMC concerts per year has orchestral accompaniment, coordinated by the director, with Board approval.
